Melamine resin overlay.

The overlay is a transparent film impregnated with melamine and phenol resins. This protective layer safeguards the decor paper beneath from stains, wear, impact, burns and household chemicals. Its lightfast surface remains stable for many years.

Natural wood grain

The texture of fine wood grain is reproduced on every plank through digital scans of wood veneer.

Stain-resistant

Waterblock 6mm is non-staining, ensuring that even the furniture and chair castors leave no trace. The tightly sealed surface repels dirt, making cleaning a breeze. And when spills or stains occur, be it in the kitchen or elsewhere, you can easily remove them with acetone, thinner, or alcohol.

Abrasion-resistant

Rated as AC3, Waterblock 6mm is engineered to withstand the demands of high-traffic residential areas and light-traffic commercial spaces. From the bustle of a home kitchen and entrance hall to the steady foot traffic of a hotel room or small office, Waterblock 6mm will remain resilient.

Anti-slip

The textures on each Waterblock 6mm plank enhance stability and minimise the risk of slips and falls.

Decorative paper.

Decor describes the appearance of a floor’s surface. Using digital imaging techniques, the natural beauty of wood is reproduced on the decorative paper. Whether you prefer the warmth of oak, the elegance of teak, or the richness of walnut, the decorative paper brings your vision to life.

Fade-resistant

The aluminium oxide coating on the overlay provides fade resistance, ensuring that Waterblock 6mm maintain its vibrant appearance even when exposed to light to moderate amounts of sunlight.

Coreboard.

At the heart of Waterblock 6mm lies the High-Density Fibreboard (HDF) coreboard, providing stability and dent resistance. Made from highly compressed wood fibres, HDF boasts twice the density of softwood, so it is more resistant to wear and tear. Its superior stability allows the click profile to be precisely manufactured, ensuring a secure fit between each plank. By utilising wood by-products that would otherwise be burned or sent to landfills, the HDF coreboard is also environmentally responsible.

Waterblock HDF

Waterblock HDF is a coreboard made from a mixture of compressed wood fibres and hydrophobic materials. This composition allows the coreboard to withstand immersion in water for 200 hours with negligible thickness swelling, as tested by the Entwicklungs- und Prüflabor Holztechnologie GmbH (EPH).

Waterproof

Waterblock coreboard has a high degree of hardness, density, and resistance to moisture-induced swelling. The waterproof composite material ensures that the joints remain stable and secure, even in challenging environments. To further enhance the flooring's moisture resistance, all four sides of the Waterblock 6mm planks are coated with a water-repellent agent made of paraffin and impregnating oil, applied using a vacuum nozzle-powered injection system.

Micro-bevel

The coreboard is deformed to create structures mimicking the scraped wood, cracks, gaps and bevelled edges found in solid wood planks. The shallow micro-beveled edge offers a subtle definition from plank to plank, adding depth and character to Waterblock 6mm while ensuring that little to no dust gathers at the joints.

Backing layer.

The waterproof melamine resin backing layer is engineered to provide a high degree of dimensional stability. It ensures that Waterblock 6mm remains perfectly balanced and resistant to cupping or bowing when properly installed and maintained.

Engraved logo

Waterblock logo is embossed on the back of each plank, which serves as a mark of authenticity of the product.

200 hours of water protection.

With its watertight joints and Waterblock coreboard, Waterblock 6mm is designed to provide you with peace of mind in the face of everyday spills and mop water. The melamine resin surface is also fully waterproof.

Waterblock 6mm is suitable in high-humidity environments such as a bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room. However, excessive wetting and standing water should be avoided. The flooring is not suitable for outdoor areas or rooms with permanently high moisture loads, such as shower cubicles, saunas, or rooms with floor drains.

Environmentally-friendly.

Waterblock HDF is made entirely from recovered wood, which includes wood waste collected from sawmills, forest management processes, and roadside maintenance. By using these by-products, which would otherwise be burned or discarded, no round logs or endangered trees are used in the manufacturing process.

Waterblock 6mm does not contain any PVC, plasticisers (phthalates), heavy metals, pesticides or other harmful additives, thus reducing emissions and creating a safer, healthier living environment. Rest assured that Waterblock 6mm has an excellent environmental footprint can be recycled at the end of its life cycle.

Easy cleaning.

Hydrophobic technology and a sealed surface prevents droplets of water, wine, paint and other liquid spills from penetrating the flooring, allowing for quick and easy cleanup. The correct cleaning technique, using a mop and an appropriate cleaning product, can guarantee the complete removal of all dust including fine dust particles.

The waterproof coreboard ensures that even if a glass of water accidentally falls on the floor, Waterblock 6mm will remain unaffected. However, for optimal performance and longevity, we recommend removing any standing moisture as soon as reasonably possible. Waterblock 6mm can be easily cleaned with a damp mop, and also does not require tedious oiling or sealing treatment.

Pet-friendly.

Waterblock 6mm is pet-proof. In the event of a pet mishap, simply clean it up promptly, and the flooring will maintain its pristine appearance. The surface with a highly durable layer provides protection against micro-scratches that can be caused by pet claws, skateboards or the dragging of desks and chairs.
